History

Commencing operations in 1893 as BayView Laundry, the service was developed by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd to provide employment for disadvantaged women and girls.

Since then the laundry has become fully commercial and competitive while continuing to offer employment, training and personal development to disadvantaged people in the community. After relocating to new modern premises in New Town, and a change of name to BlueLine Laundry, the business expanded and took on a specialised training and a specialised employment division.
