BlueLine laundry is committed to caring for the environment. BlueLine Laundry was the first laundry in Tasmania to use natural gas. In addition, BlueLine laundry has invested heavily into washing technology that consumes less water. A new washer installed in 2006 has reduced our water consumption by 18%.

BlueLine Laundry is also progressing to comply with the Hobart City Council’s trade waste agreement which ensures that we discharge water below 38° with a neutral pH. BlueLine also uses biodegradable chemicals in all of its washing machines. BlueLine is also looking at ways to further reduce our water consumption and this initiative will be undertaken in the next few years.
